    Hello NextGEN Gallery Developers, and WordPress Community,

    I am using the following:

    • WordPress Version 3.4
    • NextGEN Gallery Version 1.9.3
    • Contact Form 7 Version 3.2

    Now, I am not certain whether this issue is related to WordPress Core, Contact Form 7, or NextGEN Gallery.

    However, when I try uploading images into my galleries, I run into an error:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpcf7_add_tag_generator() in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/modules/text.php on line 152

    According to this thread, WordPress community member “liquid50” has apparently found a solution to this issue.

    It looks like the underlying issue is ultimately within the NextGEN Gallery plugin, and might be worth looking into for a hot-fix.

    Proposed fix is described in the following:
    NextGen file: ngg-config.php
    Find: require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . 'wp-load.php');
    Change to: require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . 'wp-admin/admin.php');

  • Download the latest version of NextGen Gallery for stable developer fix.

    All my observations were made with version 3.2.1 of WordPress, my client preferring media upload the old way.

    In short: bugs and their resolutions differed between browsers.

    The bug observed by w3dgie was mine too, in up-to-date Chrome, in IE7 (I know!), in IE9, but not in Firefox!?

    I first tried the little patch in ngg-config.php, then Firefox throwed me HTTP errors 302.

    I downloaded and installed the very last stable version of NextGEN Gallery (V1.9.5 – 18.07.2012). It works great in all version of Internet Explorer, but not in Chrome nor Firefox!? When I use the Flash-based uploader, theses browsers return me “Login Error: -1”. When I disable the Flash-based uploader, PHP errors are generated by “Firewall 2” plugin.

    I only write you this to help the developpers narrow the problem, if it persists elsewhere dispite its last update. Now, I look for an alternative to NextGEN Gallery…
