  • Resolved WP Voyager

I am using NextGEN Gallery version 1.3.6. I am trying to figure out the best way to have the pictures open up when they are clicked by a visitor. I noticed that in the “Effect” preference pane, the only option that works is the “Shutter” option. Thickbox, Lightbox, Hoverbox, Highslide, do nothing.
What about the other effects? Is there something that I am doing with my Word Press that makes it not work?
If the options are no longer available, does anyone know of a good plug-in to use with NextGEN Gallery that will work? What I am looking for is something that will open the picture over a darkened (or blurred, or whatever) background of the site, have navigation options, a place to display a title, and area for description text. Does this plugin exist? Or am I simply asking for too much?
I have already tried Shutter Reloaded (didn’t like the look), and I tried the NextGEN-smooth-gallery plugin (liked the look, but it replaced the gallery on the page instead of opening it up over everything else when clicked), but neither quite worked.
I know there are other plugins, but I really did not want to have to try to sort through them all if it wasn’t necessary.

Any help would be much appreciated 🙂
    Thanks in advance!

Oops! I just fixed my own problem. I found out that you have to actually download the plugin (lightbox, etc.) and then select it. I am now using “Shutter” and using HTML tags to format a Title and Descrpition
