Captions not showing up in Image Slideshow (9 posts)

    For a client, they need to have a different photographer name under each separate picture. I followed your directions, but the values in each field aren't even showing up at all. I'm using GalleryView as the template slideshow.

    How can I get this to work? Thanks!

    You can add the tag <?php echo nggcf_get_field($image->pid, 'Link'); ?> in the loop outputting the image (nggGalleryview/view/gallery-galleryview.php).
    eg, change line 25 to <p><?php echo html_entity_decode ($image->description); ?> <?php echo nggcf_get_field($image->pid, 'My Field'); ?></p>
    where 'My Field' is the name of your custom field.

    Does anyone know how to get the larger image after clicking the thumnail (when using .js shutter-reloaded) to link to your website or URl that you implement using custom fields?

    Hi Nahum2012
    Showing custom fields in the javascript popups is a complicated matter, requiring a decent knowledge of javascript.
    Unfortunately it isn't something that you can just copy and paste a piece of code and it works.

    It works! Thank you Shauno! :)

    New question: How can I get the caption to go under the filmstrip and not on top of the image? Is there a way? Here is the site I'm working on for the client http://www.randwebdesign.com/rosanafl/residential-portfolio-gallery/harbor-beach-1/. Where it says "hello there" on the bottom left is the custom field. But I want it to be where it says "Photographer: Joseph Lapeyra & George Cott | Architect: Lee Martin | Builder: W A Bentz Construction" Do you know how to get that to work?

    Thanks so much for all of your help!

    I am getting a 404 with that URL.
    I'm sure you can move the position of the custom field. You will just need to move it outside of the <p>, and add you own css to position it correctly.

    I'm sorry about that, here's the correct link: http://randwebdesign.com/~rosanafl/residential-portfolio-gallery/harbor-beach-1/

    I tried your suggestion, but it still doesn't seem to work properly..?

    I'm sure you can move that text, but it would require a better knowledge of css than I have. You would probably need to move it out of the .panel-overlay div I guess. But I unfortunately can't help with that.
