  • I figured it out! These are the settings I used:

    PHPList list ID: 1
    Newsletter form action: http://mywebsite.com/phplist/?p=subscribe&id=1
    E-mail identifier: email

    In PHPList when you edit the subscription page I these chosen:

    Don’t offer choice, default to HTML
    Don’t display email confirmation

    NOW HERE’S THE IMPORTANT PIECE:

    Go to Newsletter Sign-up in your plugin list and click “edit”. Go to newsletter-sign-up/frontend/NewsletterSignUp.php and search for “phplist”. You should see this:

    case ‘phplist’: $post_data[‘list[‘.$opts[‘phplist_list_id’].’]’] = ‘signup’;
    $post_data[‘subscribe’] = “Subscribe”;
    $post_data[“htmlemail”] = “1”;
    $post_data[’emailconfirm’] = $emailadres;
    $post_data[‘makeconfirmed’]=’0′;
    break;

    CHANGE $emailadres TO $email AND YOU’RE DONE.

    To the developer: Please fix this variable in future updates. Thanks!
