Support » Plugin: Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress » [Plugin: Newsletter] Return a message when someone tries to subscribe more than once

  • My client wants to have an offer in the Welcome email offering the subscriber a 10% discount purchase at their store with an expiry date 2 weeks from the subscription date.

Firstly, is it possible to have a future date dynamically appear? I know that I can have the current date, but it would be good if I could have {date+14} so I can have an expiry date on the email.

If I attempt to subscribe more than once, I get the confirmation message appearing, but I notice that there is no line item added to the database. Rather than getting the confirmation message to appear, is it possible to have an alternative message – “You have already subscribed” appear, which also prevents the confirmation email being sent.

Any assistance with these will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Simon

    Hi,
    Just giving this a bump…..
Hoping that someone can help me with this one. It should be a simple If statement based on a check of the database, but I am unsure where to start.
    Thanks
    Simon
