    Hi, anilwilson –

Future plans? Ha ha! That’s a tough one. 🙂

I use and test Networks on 3.4.2 (and 3.5 nightlies) and haven’t had any issues. The next release will be focused on improving the UI, since that seems to be the source of most problems. Unfortunately that isn’t my strong suit, so I don’t have an ETA.

If you have found something you think is a bug, please send me a note. And if things change with WP, this plugin will be updated to address those changes. Networks is definitely not abandoned; it’s just in a longer release cycle for the time being.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I am having trouble with both the Networks for WordPress and Network+ plugins

    Re: Network+ see http://wpebooks.com/support/general/forum/topic/purchased-networks-having-issues-and-waiting-for-request-activation-key-in-other-forum/

and when I use Networks for WordPress when I comment out DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE in the wp-config.php file, it makes my site totally unavailable.

So neither plugin works as advertised.

What I am trying to achieve is 3 separate networks

    subdomain1.domain1.org
    subdomain2.domain2.org
    subdomain3.domain3.org

but as one big BP community, i.e., groups, friends, and forums can span all three networks. So that is 3 differently branded networks, but all of them able to interact with each other.

    I have Domain Mapping and Multi-domain installed, though I do have define( ‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, false );

The server settings (on Bluehost) are such that subdomain2.domain2.org and subdomain3.domain3.org resolve to subdomain1.domain1.org, the main site. The DNS settings are all good.

I would appreciate any support and insight re: what combination of the 2 wp network plugins and 2 bp multi-network plugins that work well together.

Hi @nbsp001 – I’ll try to answer your questions as best I can, but please create new threads for future questions. It’s confusing and makes it difficult to find your question.

First: I am not responsible for Networks+. The source is only available to customers of wpebooks.com, so I have never seen it and can’t comment beyond wishing you the best in getting your activation key.

Second: you only need one multi-network plugin. You will probably have issues if you use two at the same time, besides which they are completely redundant.

Third: I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with Networks for WordPress. Can you find your server’s error logs and see whether there is anything logged when you comment our DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE? This would be very helpful in diagnosing the issue.

As you can see from the forums, plenty of other people have used this plugin on their sites successfully. I am happy to help you, but you have a LOT of things in play here (2 multi-network plugins + domain mapping) and I need more details on the error that is occurring.
