Yup, they made changes that makes it impossible to use the built in template functions. Have to work around it or abuse the Ratings field to store the order now.

I continue to scratch my head over why the WordPress devs have never thought that we’d ever want to sort links. Some of the things they leave out can be really short-sighted.

I ended up reverting to 3.1.3 on one site for now that relied on this plugin a lot.

(sorry for my english i’m french)

Indeed, it’s umbelievable for a such good blog that the dev never have thought to add a simple option to sort links…

Endymion00 : I’m gonna do the same, revert to 3.1.3, is the SQL database compliant when I switch back to 3.1.3 on my FTP, or have I to restore an old SQL backup ?

I didn’t have any problems with the database reverting to 3.1.3

Ok 🙂 I will just replace the wordpress folder on my FTP with the backup I made before to apply the update then. Without to change anything on the SQL database.

I had a doubt cause when it auto upgraded to 3.1.4, it saids “updating database in progress…” or something.

    Thanks a lot

    It notes:

For version 3.1.4, the database version (db_version in wp_options) remained at 17516.

    Awesome thank you !

New version of plugin is up. Notes haven’t been updated, but if you use wp_list_bookmarks in your theme you have to switch that to mylinkorder_list_bookmarks. Widgets require no change.

Thanks for the quick turn-around. Appears to be working now.

Still not working for me, my links are all over the place.

    Any ideas?

Nope don’t know what to tell you. The widget is working without changes and you have to do the above changes. Are you using the widget or not?

thanks for the quick turnaround. Much appreciated.

Just realised I’ve upgraded to 3.2 and these fixes don’t work!
I’m going to hang in there with messed up menus, going to a previous version looks daunting.

switching to mylinkorder_list_bookmarks and making sure to use &orderby=order&category_orderby=order made it work for me with WordPress 3.2. Thanks for the quick update!
