    I updated My Calendar, and now I can’t access either the website admin or the website itself. It says “Internal Server Error. The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request…”

    I can still ftp though, and I can’t see what the problem might be.

    Any suggestions?

    Since you can log in via FTP, you should delete My Calendar from the plugins folder. If you’ve customized styles, be sure to download those first.

    If that fixes the problem, it was coming from my calendar in some way, although I don’t know how.

    It could be as simple as a corrupted installation, in which case you can just reinstall and see what happens.

    OK, I found out the problem. The My Calendar update changed or replaced the .htaccess file. It removed the stuff in there about php5. I put it back and everything’s fine now.

    My Calendar did that? That’s…surprising. Very surprising.

    I’m pretty sure it did, because it happened immediately afterward. When I looked at the .htaccess file, the lines about php5 were missing. All is well now. Also, it reminded me to set the 1 and 1 server to php5 – then it doesn’t matter.
