[Plugin: MobilePress] MP theme takes over site theme

  • I tried running MobilePress last night. Granted I was warned that it had not been tested with 2.7.1 yet but I figured I’d give it a shot. It worked beautifully. I checked the site from my blackberry in Opera Mini and the default browser, as well as from my ipod touch. Everything looked great.

Problem is that when I browsed to my site on my laptop (using any browser) the mobilepress theme took precendent over my blog theme.

    Anyone else had this happen?

  • Hey antonskey

Are you using any caching plugins?

No, I’m not using any. Should I be?

Have you got the “Force Mobile Site?” option set to “No”?

Honestly didn’t see that to start but I tried setting it to “No” but it still forces the mobile site.

Has anyone gotten it to work correctly on WP 2.7? I’m getting the same result as antonskey, once I activate the plugin the entire site is forced to render in the mobile theme even on regular browsers on computers.

The option to force mobile is set to no. I also checked the DB and forcemobile is “false”.

    Anyone else have any ideas?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I had the same problem and it took me hours to fix it.
On the footer, there’s a link “View Full Version”. Click on it.
    Is is solved now?

That just sounds like you’re switching views on your own browser. From here on out, unless you clear your browser cache you will see the full version but everyone else will see the mobile version even on their computer browsers.

same thing with me. It’s a shame i found this really cool iphone emulator http://iphonetester.com/ that still works but the rest of my site looks like the mobile version.
