[Plugin: Mini Loops] Disable "continue reading" with custom excerpt?

  • First, thanks for the plugin! It’s great.

I’m having trouble, though turning off the “Continue reading” link at the end of the excerpt when I use a custom excerpt. When I use the format

    [excerpt custom=0 after_link=0 after=”” ]

I get the first few words of the post and nothing else.

    When I use the format
    [excerpt custom=1 after_link=0 after=”” ]

I get the post’s custom excerpt followed by the words “Continue reading” which links to the post. (If I have something other than an empty string as the after parameter, it is appended to the Continue reading.)

Any chance of a fix? Thanks!

  • Nevermind … It appears that text is coming from WordPress and/or the theme when the custom excerpt is rendered. There’s not an obvious CSS selector to hide it. I guess I’ll look for some other hook to turn it off.

    Thanks again for the plugin!

And why do I want to do this? I’m working with fairly short excerpts and the list is clearly a set of links for additional information.

The list has the title as a link to the post and the extra link at the end of the excerpt just seems redundant.
