Hi Tony, you can do this using metadata. In the slideshow settings you have to choose one transition with the dropdown, but with metadata, you can enter more than one value for the fx, like this:

    [meteor_slideshow metadata="fx: 'fade, scrollLeft'"]

By default it will cycle through them, fading the first slide, scrolling the second, fading the third, and so on. There is also an option to randomize the effects you have selected.

Thanks for your reply J. 🙂
So for what ever effects I want I replace the shortcode with the one above and list each effect into the short code divided by comas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tony

    Yep, that’s correct Tony.

That worked perfectly! It appears that the number of slides you have is the number of effects you can choose.

This is the plugin for slide shows! Do you see any more effects happening in the future, for example a rubics cube or crossword puzzle?

Many many thanks for your help,
    Tony

No problem Tony! Since jQuery Cycle is super popular and supports custom transitions, you’s think that there would be some good ones available but I haven’t been able to find any yet.

Eventually I’d like to create some of my own grid transitions those in Nivo slider.
