I just set up a couple test slides on the homepage, and they work and look as expected in FF, but in chrome/safar the ‘player’ is there, but the slides are not. using the inspector, the images don’t seem to show up in the code at all. help?

Hi, I can’t see the slides in Firefox either. Maybe you are logged in while viewing the slideshow in FF, but logged out in the other browsers.

Do you have any plugins installed on this site that might be restricting content from non-logged in users? Or possibly the slides could be set to private?

Hmmm, that seems to be the case. I can’t see them when logged out. I am using a plugin that restricts content (the intention is to restrict certain pages) from certain user-levels. I’ll try messing with that!

What plugin are you using for that?

    I’m using CaPa Protect

I tested CaPa Protect and it doesn’t seem to have any support for custom post types. I really like the Members plugin, you might check that out, it gives you a lot of options for managing the permissions of users and what content they can access.

It looks good, but the lack of updates is worrysome. Still stable in 3.0.5??

Just switched to CaPa to Members and that definitely fixed the problems I was having with Meteor Slides. Thanks!!

No problem, Members has worked fine for me with 3.0+ so far, I use it on pretty much every site. It hasn’t seem any updates, but the developer is very prolific and I trust that he’ll update it if there are any issues in the future.

Cool, where, here’s to hoping that’s the case! Thanks for all your help, it’s much appreciated 🙂
