[Plugin: Meteor Slides] Dynamic Size Using Percentages

  • I’m trying to build my site based on percentage values for widths in order to be more user friendly in different resolutions.

Is it possible to do this with Meteor Slides? At the moment I’m just using the shortcode on my homepage.

Ideally I want width as a percentage and heigh not specified so it is as much as is need in order to preserve aspect ratio (as I’ve done with images etc. on the homepage.)

Really grateful for any help! Love the plugin, hope I can get it to work in my site.

P.S. Also, a small annoyance, it was previously centred simply by centring the shortcode as you would a bit of text but it has now moved to the left side and won’t centre again.

Do you want to actually have the image grow and shrink, or just have the slideshow scale? One trick you might want to look into would be scaling the slideshow, but leaving the images the same size, like this demo.

But if you want to change the size of the images, that would be a bit trickier. I’d suggest looking at some of the advanced demos for jQuery Cycle, you might want to try this out with a very simple static HTML slideshow and add those customizations to WordPress after you’ve got it working.
