Super nice plugin. I have been looking at a number of slideshow plugins for a website and really appreciate your work.

I have 2 questions please and am grateful for any support.

    1. If I wanted to add 2 captions per slide, what would be the best route? Have you answered that somewhere? I can style it, I just don’t know how to program it so that it would be easy for a non-techie client to add the captions along with each slide. For example, could I use the image caption and image description fields associated with each image to show wrapped inside a div tag under each image, that I could then position and style as I wanted? If so, how would I do that?

I know that is potentially a big question, so I accept if you just tell me that.

    2. I see that I can create more than one slideshow, but I do not understand how to use shortcode (or template tag) to specify which slideshow to display? I see in your docs how to specify in a widget.

    Thanks,

Thanks David, it sounds like you need a caption with a title and description, is that right?

You could do this with image metadata, but it makes it harder to edit the caption content because you have to go into the media library and edit the slide image. It is a little easier to manage the captions if you use the slide content, like the slide title for the caption title and a slide excerpt for the description.

Use a custom slideshow template to add the caption, the documentation on that explains how to add the slide title. And this thread will show you how to add excerpts as well.

The page on multiple slideshows has examples on how to load a specific slideshow. You need to use the slug of the slideshow, for example, to load a slideshow with the slug of “robots”, use this shortcode:

    [meteor_slideshow slideshow="robots"]

    Thanks so much.
