 * Hello,
 * I’m not entirely sure how to ask this better in more technical terms. Currently,
   each slide gets its own URL ie. [http://mydomain.com/?slide=slide-1](http://mydomain.com/?slide=slide-1).

   Would it be possible to avoid this? (or redirect the slide to its attachment
   id URL [http://mydomain.com/?attachment_id=122](http://mydomain.com/?attachment_id=122))

 * Hi, the slides are a custom post type. Each slide is a post and will always have
   it’s own URL, but these posts should never show up in the frontend, or even have
   links to them in the backend.
 * The only time they should be loaded is when you use the plugin’s template tag
   or shortcode. Where are you seeing the slide posts?

 * Hi,
 * I almost already guessed this was being caused by another plugin.
    In this case
   my xml image sitemap [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/xml-image-sitemap/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/xml-image-sitemap/)
   was displaying them.

 * Ah, this plugin must be checking the media library for images, or maybe checking
   all posts for attachments. I’ll take a look at it and see if there is anything
   that could be done.

 * Thanks, that would be more than appreciated!
    PHP isn’t really my native language,
   but I believe it’s checking the media library.

 * Did this ever get resolved? I’m having the same problem with my site and I would
   like to know how the problem was solved. My site is [http://www.modernmail.com](http://www.modernmail.com)
 * Thanks!

 * No, the XML Image Sitemap would have to be altered so that you could choose which
   images were indexed, or images from only certain post types.

 * I know it’s not your responsibility because you didn’t do the XML sitemap plugin,
   but do you have any idea where I am supposed to fix it? I tried deactivating
   the XML plugin, but I’m still getting the error. I just want to remove the hyperlinking
   in the slideshow because it’s going to crazy places now, like “[http://www.modernmail.com/?slide=ideation&#8221](http://www.modernmail.com/?slide=ideation&#8221);
   which isn’t even a real page.

 * Even if you deactivate the XML plugin, the actual sitemap-image.xml file is probably
   still there and might have to be manually deleted.
