[Plugin: MediaElement.js – HTML5 Video & Audio Player] How do I add an mp3 file to my sidebar?

  • Found your script while looking for any player that will work with wp 3.2 and the new vs. of jQuery.

    My current setup:
    1. I have created a new post-type ‘music’.
    2. I have added a metabox where I am able to upload an mp3 file.

    Now I am easily able to grab the url to the mp3 file for use within my template file.

    Now that I have an mp3 url, how do I integrate that url with your plugin so that I can add a player to my sidebar?

  • I should add that I simply have to call this function to get the url to my mp3 audio file.
    I have also setup the same thing for ogg audio files.

    <?php echo $meta['audio_mp3']; ?>
    <?php echo $meta['audio_ogg']; ?>

    Given those 2 functions, what code would I insert into my single.php template file in order to show a player that works in all browsers including the ipad?
