Is it possible to set this plugin up so people can download the media?

I'm wondering the same things. Even if I just try to insert a link to the file source, it automatically opens a window just for the player.

Any advice would be appreciated! Great plugin!

Yes, I also need to give my users the option to download the audio file. Is there any way to make the audio tag src property into a 'download' text link, such as just below the player? I have installed MediaElement.js as an iPhone-friendly alternative to replace PodPress, so my users will have always been able to download as well as listen in real time. Many thanks for your assistance.

Yes, this is exactly what I am looking for.

I could get rid of podpress as I dont need the podcasting features, just PLAY | DOWNLOAD | STATS features. Your plugin streams nicely, but download and stat would make it a podpress "replacer" :)

I think this is a very good plugin.

I accomplished this by wrapping the shortcode in an anchor tag and setting "href" to be identical to the shortcode's "src". The player's controls still work, but the user can now right-click the player and select "Save Link As" (etc.) to download the file.

Sorry, I don't understand how to do it.

    Charles:
    Here's what I mean:
    <a href="FILEPATH">[mejsaudio src="FILEPATH"]</a>
where FILEPATH is, of course, the path previously entered as "src". All you're doing is wrapping the shortode in that <a> tag and copying the path from the shortcode's "src" attribute to the anchor's "HREF" attribute.
