  • Resolved mll

The new [mla_gallery] shortcode loooks amazing ; exactly what [gallery] should have been able to do for ages.

    It returns nothing for me.

    I tried

    [mla_gallery tag="Logo candidat"]
    [mla_gallery s="candidat"]

and both return nothing. And yes, I do have several media whith the tag “Logo candidat”.

Did I do anything wrong ?

    Kind regards

Thanks for upgrading and for your question.

The “tag” parameter matches the attachment name/slug, not the title. In your example I believe the slug would be “logo-candidat”.

The “s” parameter searches only the attachment title and description fields. It won’t search in tags, categories or any other fields.

I hope that solves your problem. If you have any other issues or comments, let me know.

    [mla_gallery tag="Logo-candidat"] did it indeed !

Thanks for the tip, maybe you should mention it in the docs.

I’m happy to hear you’re having success with the shortcode.

In my documentation I have tried to limit my remarks to differences between the [mla_gallery] shortcode and the default behavoir of the WP_Query class (which is well documented in the WordPress Codex).

I’m going to add a reminder to my own documentation encouraging people to look through the WordPress Codex page for the WP_Query class. Thanks for the feedback.
