I’m sorry, the plugin can’t do that for the moment, but I actually thought about implement it, as it’s quite easy to add. I’m a bit concerned about the problem it could cause though, for instance there could be bugs related to the utilization of another plugins…
What do you reckon?
I’d like to see the option to do that as well…
I’d like to run it through some paces on a post or two first. I didn’t find any options in the settings for the plug-in.. makes me nervous not to see anything there.
Please let me know if you get around to adding a batch option for this plug-in.
Thanks for your time…

I’ve just imported 700+ images from an old Menalto Gallery to one of my WP installs, but they have awful names. Renaming the files in bulk to their title would be a step in the right direction.
Yes, I want this feature as well, and I’m the author of this plugin, so I must add it. I will develop the feature within 2 weeks I think, as I will have a few days off.
Great news. Looking forward to it. Adding it to the “Bulk Actions” dropdown menu would be a nice addition, too.
Actually that’s what I thought I would do first 🙂
That’s awesome; I look forward to re-installing it and giving it a run.
Thanks for restarting development.

any updates regarding this ? any other plugin can do so ?
I’m sorry, I have been a bit busy recently. I use this plugin very actively but as it works perfectly in my case I didn’t feel the urge to update it, but of course I really want to have the community around it happier. I’m working on a theme right now, and as soon as it’s finished I will enhance the plugin. Meanwhile, if there are developers among you, I would love your help 🙂
I want to batch rename media files based on attached post title. Given the fact that your plugin is installed, can I just get all media files and update the title programatically? Will your plugin filters deal with the rest? Is there an easyer way to do this?
Actually yeah, it would, but i didn’t test it intensively enough, I would prefer to go one by one. Backup your database and your files first 🙂
