[Resolved] [Plugin: Maven Member] Users losing their Maven roles

  • I am having a strange problem where anytime a user updates their profile (ex: changes password, changes display name), they lose their Maven role and so are no longer able to access the restricted part of our website that their role gave them access to.

    Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix for it?

    And being able to edit the Maven Member roles on the same page where you edit all the other user details makes things much simpler.

    Hi there! I’m still having this issue on 1.0.20.
    Any user page form submission (no change necessary) resets the user access level to subscriber.

    This is a problem when our admins have to change their passwords.

    Please help!

    We were checking this, and we have updated the plugin, this problem should not happen in the new version.


    That didn’t solve my problem.
    User roles (not just maven member roles) get reset any time I update a user on /wp-admin/user-edit.php

    Let me know if I can help you with this somehow….

    Hi Seanriceaz, did you try using the 1.0.21 version?

    Yes. I am using 1.0.21 and am still encountering the problem.
    Deactivating maven member removes the issue.

    Hi Seanriceaz, we have updated the plugin, please try with the version 1.0.22, and please let us know if the problem was fixed.

    Looks like my user permissions (admin, subscriber etc) problem is solved, but now their maven member roles are reset when I update their profile (which is the original problem I think.

    Hi seanriceaz, first of all, thanks for your help and patience with this issue, we were working hard to solve it as soon as possible, we uploaded a new plugin version, we would thank you if you could check if the issue persist.
