Support » Plugin: Map Cap » [Plugin: Map Cap] How to get rid of your plugin side effects?

  • I was using your plugin for testing purpose with role-editor plugin. After few days I removed your plugin but now I have a problem – any custom-type posts is not available any more in normal way: when capability_type stated with normal register type like: ‘capability_type’ => ‘news’ and working only as ‘capability_type’ => ‘post’

How I can entirely remove your plugin and ANY-and-ALL side-effects it created without reinstalling WP?

Hi, I’d like to know how to clean out the Map-Cap changes also, and start from scratch.

I’ve installed the “Members” plugin, and Map-Cap seems to be overwriting the capabilities I set. So even when I set “edit_[post_type]” in my role manager, it doesn’t change the permissions.

I’m finding that I have to switch back and forth between the “Members” plugin and “Map-Cap” in order to get anything done.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.
