    Hi,

    I just installed this plugin and when I tried to test it, I just get the default error message that I did not change.
    “There was a problem processing your submission.”
    Is there a way to find out what the actual problem is?

    I put in my test email address and used the subscribe button and I just get the canned error message.

    I recently used this plugin on another site with no problem at all. It worked right out of the box.

    Has anyone else had the same problem and resolved it successfully?

    Hi WebDi,

    I just tested on your site and was able to sign up without a problem. The plugin displays the error message if something has gone wrong, but also if that email address is already signed up for the mailing list in question.

    Please try with a different email address, and let me know if the problem persists.

    It’s not working for me either. same error message. I have no emails in my list yet.

    must just be delayed. It started working a few hours after I set everything up.

    Glad to hear it Jason. I think the issue then is probably on the MailChimp side, rather than the plugin side. If you run into any issues with the plugin, though, definitely let me know. 🙂

    the form gives the error message whenever i test it, i’ve tried iot over two days now with different enail addresses, and no emails have made it through…. something i’ve done?

    I can confirm that I’m also not able to submit the form from your site. Could you email me directly and I’ll try to help you sort it out? My address is included with the plugin.

    After offline diagnosis, it seems the issue comes up when there are required fields (set up in MailChimp) that aren’t available in the widget. I’ll look at more graceful ways to resolve this for a future release.

    In the meantime, the issue suninthecorner had did not persist after all List Fields apart from email address were set to optional. To make this change, log into MailChimp, go to Lists >> Settings >> List Fields and *|MERGE|* Tags and uncheck “Required?”. Then Save and you should be good to go.
