    Hi all,

    I am having a bit of a problem with the MailChimp WordPress plug-in. When someone signs up to receive our newsletter, they automatically get a message that says, “Success, you’ve been signed up! Please look for our confirmation email!” But a confirmation email never gets sent. Other than that, everything works great. I’ve sent a test newsletter which comes through perfectly, and there are no other problems. But this issue is a pretty big snag for me – I can’t have people expecting a confirmation email and not receiving one.

    Do you have any suggestions?

  • That’s not related to this plugin – if it’s happening, it would happen using the form we host for your list as well.

    It’s possible that the email was filtered into a spam/junk folder. If you can’t find it or get it straightened out, the best thing to do is to contact support:

    That’s interesting… I am 100% sure I am not running any spam filters on any of my email accounts. I explained the whole thing to support at MailChimp – their first suggestion didn’t apply, so they referred me here….

    This may be something better handled by the chimps who actually developed the WordPress plug in to look at. The suggestion I gave my best guess at what is happening but it sounds like a more advanced fix.

    There’s not another answer besides what I posted yesterday. The plugin has nothing to do with the confirmation email delivery. If there’s something real going on with your account (99.9% there is not), we’ll have to get a support ticket open via them. Since you don’t seem open to that, I can only suggest trying other email addresses, your hosted signup form, and track down for yourself where the confirmation email is going.

    Hi – actually, I’m really new to all this…. I just created my first wordpress site. I’m definitely not against getting a support ticket, and not sure what made you think I would be. Do I need to contact customer support for this? I never knew it was an option. Also, I have tried several email addresses, but I’m not sure what you mean by “your hosted signup form”…. I’m just using the mailchimp widget for my sign-up.

    Login to your MailChimp account, go to your List, and select the “list forms” option. At the top is signup form for your list that we host. The way that and the plugin work are identical – someone signs up and then receives a confirmation email. Work with that and if you have issues finding the confirmation email, contact support –

    Once you are happy with how that is working, you shouldn’t have any issues with signups via this plugin.
