Align Email Box and Subscribe Box (4 posts)

    Hi there -
    I'm trying to get this plugin all settled at the top corner of my website!

    You can see on http://www.iamtheeverydaygirl.com -- right now the email address box is left aligned and the subscribe box is centered.

    I'd like to line those two up.

    I would also love it if I could have email written inside the box (in italics) ... if that's possible.

    Trying to get this as nice and clean looking as possible! Thank you so much for helping!

    Hey there!

    For what you're looking to do, your best bet is going to be to use CSS to style and position things in your theme. For instance, you could move the submit button to the left (so it lines up beneath the "Email" field) by using the following:

    #mc_signup_submit.button {

    Adding that to your Style.css file should give you something that looks like this:

    You can also use CSS to adjust the width and margin of the button so that it lines up perfectly (or near perfect) with the input area (which can also be adjusted through CSS). As far as placeholder text goes, there's been quite a bit of discussion on this topic and some hack-arounds that might work for you. Check out these posts:

    Hey there, Sean.

    Mind sending me a link to your site to have a peek at things?

    It's probably going to be something along the same lines of floating the submit button to the right and a bit more CSS-work. However, I'm happy to take a look at what you've got going on!

    Give me a shout back.
