    Hi

I have just updated the MailChimp plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mailchimp/) to the latest version (version 1.2.5) and now all the plugins in the list have a “Settings” link to the MailChimp options page.
It even adds an extra “Settings” link to plugins that already have a “Settings” link.

I run the plugin on two different sites and in version 1.2.4 of the plugin the extra “Settings” link doesn’t get added.

    Best regards
    Thomas Clausen

  • yup, me too.

also the form borks my entire site css

    D’oh!

We’re definitely seeing this on our end, as well. We’re passing this over to the developers chimps to see what exactly is going on in this case. Thanks for the heads up!

    I’ve got this issue too.
Rolling back to previous version until the all clear sounds.

Any update on this, I can’t get much done!

Hmm, are you seeing that other plugin settings are completely inaccessible?

From what we have seen, the first settings links should still work. It’s only the duplicate settings link which appears to be broken. If you only see one settings link, it usually means that plugin doesn’t have a settings link.

You should also be able to access plugin settings from the side menu.

But if you are seeing some plugin settings completely borked, please let us know which plugins, and please send us a screenshot of the error page to examples[at]mailchimp[dot]com.

    Eep eep!

Hmm yeah I see what you mean now. Yes it’s only the “first settings link” … I see now the ones with two, the second link is working.

I can make due with that. Thanks monkey, get this fixed eh?

If you want to fix this without waiting for the next update, see my reply here:

I deleted the Mailchimp plugin altogether but existing and new plugins settings are borked. How do I fix this??

Just wanted to play mop-up duty in here and make sure that everyone is taken care of at this point?

If you do see any other issues, let us know! We’re happy to help!

Sorry – haven’t had time to go through and double check all plugins…will let you know if I find any problems.

I deleted the Mailchimp plugin also but existing and new plugiin settings are messed up… And Nextgen gallery won’t display photo’s…

Please keep me posted… If I find a way to solve I’ll post it here..

    Hey Lane!

As my man MC_Van pointed out, what we’re seeing on this end is that the MailChimp 1.2.5 plugin is adding an additional “Settings” link to all plugins. So, this means that if a plugin doesn’t have a settings link originally, we’ll add one that links to the MailChimp settings. Obviously not ideal, but it’s something that will DEFINITELY be addressed in the next version that comes out.

From what we’ve seen thus far, when the MailChimp plugin is deactivated, those extra settings links go away. So, if a plugin is missing a “Settings” link after deactivating MailChimp 1.2.5, that should mean that the plugin didn’t have any sort of settings link to begin with. Of course, if you do notice something weird, give us a shout back and we’ll see if there is any specific behavior that we can replicate.

As far as the NextGen gallery, we haven’t been able to replicate that specific issue. Here’s a screenshot of our setup of NextGen and MailChimp activated:

Give us a shout if we can help with anything else!

    Cheers
