• Hi,

I have a recent issue, since I upgraded to WordPress 4.0. The plugin is looking in the wrong directory for the .htaccess file and can’t find it. It keeps giving an error message. If I put a copy of the .htaccess file in there, it breaks the dashboard. My site layout is:

    rootURLDir/extraDir/wp install files and dirs

My .htaccess file is in the rootURLDir, but the plugin keeps looking for it in the /extraDir directory.

This worked fine up to recently.

Any ideas how I can restore things to proper order?

Hi webtomeasure, so you are saying that the plugin was working before you upgraded to WordPress 4.0? Is this correct?

I worked fine for months. In recent days I updated to WP 4.0 and at first all was fine, however it was within a couple of days of the upgrade I noticed the problem. However I do not know if it has anything to do with upgrading to WP 4.0 or not.

Hi webtomeasure, because it was working prior to upgrading to WordPress 4.0 and so many have reported that it is working for them running WordPress 4.0. I suspect a conflict with one of your plugins.

Carry out the following test. Disable all your plugins except this one and perform another test.

Let us know how you go.
