[Plugin: List category posts] How do I use the tag parameter?

  • Could you provide an example of how the tag parameter works?

    I have

    [catlist id=11 orderby=title order=asc numberposts=-1 tag=31]

    OR

    [catlist id=11 orderby=title order=asc numberposts=-1 tag=Celebrity]

And I still get an alphabetized lists of ALL my posts.

What I should receive is an alpha lisst of the 2 Posts that use the parameter.

PS id=11 is a “Parent” category made up of 12, 13, and 14. But I tried id=12,13,14 and received the result. (12, 13 and 14 make up the content of id=11

    Thank-you

    Try “tags” instead of “tag”:

    [catlist id=11 tags=celebrity]

I substituted “tags” instead of “tag” AND I used the tag name “celebrity” instead of tag id “31” and that did the trick.

Now, I am trying to figure out what to do about tags with multiple words, i.e. “Cohan Rule” and “Net Worth” – when I enclose them in double quotes it chokes.

I am very happy to be able to help you, as this post helped me with my understanding of tags, thanks to ann disaster 🙂

I have a tag called Victoria Point, remove the space and replace with a hypen, without quote marks.
This is my exact code, and it works:
    [catlist id=52 orderby=title order=asc numberposts=-1 Tags=victoria-point Date=yes]

Yours would be Tags=cohan-rule and Tags=net-worth
