[Plugin: List category posts] Help styling output of List Category Posts

  • Hello Adam,

    I don’t know how to style the results directly, but I’ve been able to style the output indirectly using a bit of jQuery. It seems to work pretty well. When catlist renders, it comes out as a <ul> list. You can wrap that list with a <div> element and specify the class, like this:

    <div class="myclass">

    Then you can write some jQuery code to traverse down to the “myclass” section and then style the elements to whatever you want.

    For example,

    jQuery('div.myclass ul').css('list-style','disc outside url("/wp-content/media/my-bullet-image.gif")').css('margin-left','15px');

    The above line styles the list of pages with a custom outer-bullet and a left padding of 15px.

    If you need more specific information, send me an email. (dan-at-ruysdaeldesign-dot-com)

    Good luck,
    Dan

    There is a pretty good writeup included in the other notes section, on styling… I fiddled with it, and was able to control everything with a few styles in my stylesheet:
