[Plugin: Link Library] adding thumbshots

    I was thinking of adding thumbshots.com to the links in my Link-Library. I’ve worked out the following code…

    $output .= '<div class="thumbshots"><a href="' . $the_link . '"' . $rel . $title . $target. '><img src="http://open.thumbshots.org/image.aspx?url=' . $the_link .'" border="1"></a></div>';

    which works but doesn’t seem to want to stay within each link’s section even though I’ve given it a class to float on the right and break-clear all. I’ve tried various locations in the link-library.php file starting at line 2019.

    Also, it only works on the first category of links. I have my plugin settings to show one category at a time. As soon as I click to another category, even the same as the first one, the thumbshots are gone.

    Ideally, I wanted the thumbshots to sit to the right of the link title and description. Any recommendations on how to get this to work? Thanks in advance!

    I will look into the issue tomorrow evening and let you know. As many other users have asked for web thumbs, this could turn into something fruitful for many users of Link Library.

    I have done a bit of investigation and so far, I am seeing the images on the different pages when using the show one category at a time mode:

    As for layout, I am working on an enhancement to Link Library be able to add more formatting before and after the thumbnails but unfortunately won’t be able to complete that work until the week-end.

    Could you potentially send me a link to your site so I can see the problems that you are having?

    Check out version 3.0, available a bit later tonight. It adds a new option to replace the link images with dynamic thumbnails from thumbshots.org. It also add an option to position the show at the end of the link to create the layout that you are looking for.

    I apologize for the lack of response. I was forced to shelve working on the site for a while. I have finally gotten back to it and installed your latest version and am VERY happy with the results. You nailed it and I appreciate all the time and effort.

    Can you help me with my directory, am using link library and it seems i got problem. Doesn’t show the link when i click the category.

    I just took a look at your site and am not seeing any link categories. Did you remove the links from your site?

    I don’t know what happened why it’s not showing the link category..As you can see I have categories…
    What do I need to do?

    I see on your site that you have been able to display your link list. What was the trouble in the end?
