Support » Plugin: Limit Login Attempts » [Plugin: Limit Login Attempts] Remaining indicator on the logout screen.

  • The red indicator keeps displaying after a logout action on the login form.
    Steps to reproduce :
    – Login with wrong credentials.
    => The red plugin indicator display “ERROR: Incorrect username or password.3 attempts remaining.”
    – Login with correct credentials.
    => The system logs in.
    – Logout
    => The login screen is displayed. The red indicator is still displayed ans shouldn’t.

    Working with 1.7.1 plugin version.

  • got same problem here.
    hosted on wp-engine.

    Are you using some kind of caching plugin that serves cached pages to unlogged users?

    Yes. Our website is cached with Akamai.
    That could explain our problem.

    Same problem since updating to WP 3.5. If I go to the login page without actually trying to login it shows “6 attempts remaining”. I have it set to 7 attempts, so just going to the login page is one failed attempt.

    The page is not being cached.
