• When I click on a thumbnail and my photo pops up in the lightbox, below the photo a “title” or “caption” of some sort pops up but it just shows the path of where my photo has been uploaded to. I can’t figure out what I need to do to get rid of this. Part of the problem is I don’t even know what the section is for specifically I suppose. I really would like to remove this. I don’t think I want any text with my photos when they pop up in the lightbox actually.

Also, is there a way to adjust what part of the photo my thumbnail shows? An example would be a photo of a person and in the thumbnail their head is cut in half or something. Thanks to anyone can help!

I notice that over half of these issues in this forum don’t seem to be replied to. I really hope that is not the case here. I think the reason nobody talks about these issues I’m having is because they are very simple and I am probably the only one who can’t figure out. I am a little new at this however so if anyone could lend a hand, it would be much appreciated!! I apologize if it seems blatantly simple.

When you add an image to WordPress make sure you fill in the Title and Alt fields with something meaningful like the image description. Lightbox uses the title field from your image link as the caption.

Thanks katmac_aus for the reply! I definitely understand about the Title and Alt fields but I don’t understand why anyone would want the image link as the caption. Do you know a way to get rid of this? or possibly change it to just the Title?
