    After you install the plugin you should Flushing Rewrite rules of WordPress (author of this plugin should insert this function in its plugin code to avoid such cases: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/flush_rewrite_rules).

    Just visit the page in Admin Panel – Settings – Permalink. Now you can open latest news post.

    A work-around without going into the code would be to switch permalink settings (Admin Panel – Settings – Permalink) from the current one to one of the other options and then switch back to your prefered setting. Worked for me, anyway (WP v3.4.2).
