• Hi,

sorry i was messing with the instalation.

the link is http://www.fogonaweb.com/o-que-fazemos/

There is one strange issue, i assume it’s related:
when testing in localhost machine, the plugin finds and plays the beekle skin. Now in the server it’s not finding it, i wonder if the moving wordpress script is leaving some files behind ?! all the other plugins are working fine.

Thanks in advance.

i fixed the beekle skin but in the ipad is still crashing.

what i’ve done
– during the moving of the site the skin configuration changed to ‘:http’ (very strange). So maybe it has something to do with moving wordpress indeed.
– Thus I uninstalled the player completely (in jw swttings) then re-installed the plugin completely. did not work, the custom player i’ve created persists (even after the uninstall that is supose to delete DB and files.

So i definitly need your help!
Kind Regards,
Rodolfo

I have just downloaded the plugin. Is there a way for me to generate the code to embed video into a page.

Or do i need to buy the license first. I am happy to pay for the licence but i would like to know that i know how to make it work.

Cheers.

I’m wanting to embedd an mp4 video. I did find a code generator on the site bit it did not seem to have an option for mp4.

I guess i’m missing something.

fawkesblog2,

You only need a license if you have a commercial site or you wish to remove the watermark. If you’re using our plugin feel free to refer to our documentation on how to set it up: http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/addons/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/11513/getting-started-with-the-wordpress-plugin-for-the-jw-pla

Thanks.

<blockquoteThe shortcode itself is fine and doesn’t need to be changed. The JW Embedder is not a configuration option used in the shortcode. It needs to be installed on your site. The simplest way is to go to the Upgrade Page for the JW Player which can be found in the admin section of your site. Simply click on “Install Latest JW Player” and it should install the JW Embedder for you.>

I am experiencing the same issue and I also don’t have the embedder installed. I cannot use the automated installation you’re suggesting, when I try to, I get an error “Abort class-pclzip.php : Missing zlib extensions”, which probably happens because I’m limited to using an older version of wordpress on account of the MySQL version on my server being too old. Is there a way to manually install the embedder?

Thanks

@seeurope,

You can install the embedder using FTP. You can download the player from our site and then upload the jwplayer.js file from the zip to /wp-content/uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player.

The plugin should detect that it’s present and being to work properly.

Thanks.

The js file and the swf file turned out to already be in the /wp-content/uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player dir. I use the following pseudocode in my wordpress post:

[jwplayer file=”http://website.org/uploads/videos/video.flv” html5_file=”http://website.org/uploads/videos/video.mp4″ image=”http://website.org/uploads/videothumbs/thumb.jpg” duration=”1265″ width=”230″ height=”185″]

Works fine on desktop browsers, black rectangle on iOS devices.

Thanks for the quick answer, but the fallback still doesn’t happen.

Thanks 🙂
