  • Hi leisi,

    Glad you’re enjoying the plugin.

    To embed an external playlist the shortcode would look something like the following:

    [jwplayer file=”http://path/to/playlist.xml”]

    However, the scrolling playlist video selector won’t be visible in this case. To make that appear the shortcode should be updated to this:

    [jwplayer file=”http://path/to/playlist.xml” playlist=”right”]

    This would make the playlist selector show up on the right.

    Optionally, you can configure the playlist selector location and it’s size in the player configuration wizard. It’s under Advanced Configuration > Playlist.

    If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
    I’m having a related problem. I was using JW on a static page to call an xml playlist for dynamic RTMP switching based on available bandwidth. It seemed to be working OK on a static webpage hosted on an Apache section of my Wowza server. (http://wpvid.wpunj.edu/251_CallingRTMP_Playlist_SWFO_v1.html) …though when we updated JW Player and the Wowza version the quality monitor plugin also stopped working so it’s hard to tell. Regardless the video plays.
    Now I’d like to move the nested player over to a WordPress blog but it doesn’t seem to work when I copy over the links (http://blog.wpunj.edu/WPvid/2011/rep-pascrell-to-the-point_multibitrate-test/)
    Can you tell me what I’m missing?

    @mattisong

    The issue here is that you are missing a crossdomain.xml file. Flash requires this when accessing remote files on another server. The crossdomain file should be located at: http://wpvid.wpunj.edu/crossdomain.xml.

    Thanks.
