[Resolved] [Plugin: JW Player] Crossdomain

  • Ok I’ve installed the JW Player plugin (through dashboard) and tried using the following code to embed the video;

    [jwplayer config=”myplayer” file=”http://niceflowertrading66.com/videos/MTV%20Noise%201%20-%20Hide%20and%20Seek.flv” image=”http://niceflowertrading66.com/images/Photography2.jpg”]

    That gives the following error:

    Task Queue failed at step 5: Playlist could not be loaded due to crossdomain policiy restrictions.

    Tried fixing that by uploading a crossdomain.xml file on to the server (as suggested somewhere else). No luck.

    Then I tried doing it manually (using LongTail Wizard) and it just loads the template of the player (at least in safari, not FF).

    Can someone help me out?

  • Try taking the quotes out, which would be:
    file=http://niceflowertrading66.com/videos/MTV%20Noise%201%20-%20Hide%20and%20Seek.flv
    rather than what you have.
    I hope this solves your problem.

    Actually I contacted the developer and he suggested the same thing smete135, and that indeed did the trick. Thanks!
