  • Can you give your website url? most problems are due to other’s plugins js code. If the break js this plugin won’t work.

    Also check this url: it has a FAQ section.

    Hi there

    I just updated the plugin to your latest version you released today and it showed up for a few seconds and then disappeared along with the entire right hand side bar of my blog. I place the widget right at the bottom of my right hand side bar below the creative commons license.

    Please have a look:

    Thank you so much.

    I got the following error:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/discezzw/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jquery-categories-list/jquery-categories-list.php on line 111

    Hi there

    I’ve taken the widget off my blog, it’s messed up my blog. I have a lot of traffic on my site, I need it up and running.

    When you are online, please send me an email and I will immediately put the widget on the blog again for you to have a look.

    Thanks a million.

    I’ve checked and seems like you have a circular category. Check if a category’s parent is a child of the same category. Do you understand?

    Hi there

    I think I understand. I will check.

    Ok I sorted out the circular category problem. Thank you!

    Right, I’ve put the widget back on the blog, my sidebar is now stable. The widget however is not showing up. It should be appearing below the Creative Commons License.

    I will leave it on for you to look at.

    Thanks 🙂

    Oh man, now I’ve got this error:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/discezzw/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 2892

    I will most definitely donate some bucks to you if we can get this sorted out. I have so many categories (as you have noticed) and I desperately need to organize them.

    Ah it’s working (kinda), but only on single pages not on the front page – how odd??

    I checked the error logs on my front page and I see there is this error:

    missing } after function body @ jquery-1.5.2.js
    on this line return (jQuery.inArray( elem, qualifier ) >= 0) === keep

    I dunno if that is a problem that could affect me or not.

    [Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please use the pastebin]

    If I put in the missing } it then asks for a ;

    I don’t know js at all so I need some help with this.

    I pasted the code into pastebin. Here is the link:

    PS, this code is not from your plugin.

    I somehow don’t think this is going to fix the problem because your plugin works on single pages yet on the front page it’s broken. But you never know.

    About the taxonomy error, it’s wordpress core so i can’t help you. Maybe you need to check taxonomy terms to check if something is wrong.

    About JS error, there are 2 problems with your “scroll recent comments plugin”, it uses it own jquery library (1.5) which conflicts with the wordpress one, so it generates an error and further js code won’t be excecuted (like my plugin) so check if that plugin can use wordpress jquery o disable it (jquery include) because my plugin load the wordpress version and it should work both plugins.

    Also, if it doesn’t work on the main page, check if the home page uses a custom sidebar and check if plugin works there, or create a text widget with the content [jQuery Categories List] it should load the widget.
