[Resolved] [Plugin: Job Manager] job project manager?

  • Hi,

Looking for a way to make a platform to bring job seekers and project owners that seek people for their project I stumbled across Job Manager. I am wondering if the Job Manager plugin can be used (or extended?) as a Project Manager as well.

Here is what I have in mind: The system will need to list jobs (or projects w/ description) and allow job seekers to apply for a project. Job Manager should be able to do this perfectly, right? So far so good. But there needs to be a way for project owners to submit their project too… I have no problem with project owners having to become a subscriber or even contributor/author before being able to do this and each project would need to be moderated before publishing. But the basic thought is that it will not (only) be the bog admin that puts these projects/jobs online.

As far as I can figure (based on a quick look at the plugin) is that there needs to be at least a new form for project owners to submit their projects.

    Is this feasible?

  • In version 0.8 (due out sometime in June), this will be possible. I’m planning on adding support for allowing anyone to submit jobs, see applicants for only their own jobs, etc. You would simply have to replace references to “Jobs” with “Projects” in the templates.

You can see the Roadmap for 0.8 here:

Feel free to add any comments you have to the issues listed there.
