• can’t get it to work. I have two problems when installing the plugin:

    1) it overwrites my home page — forcing it to go to the blog section instead of a specified page I have designated

    2) i can’t get the jobs or job categories to show up. although those are created, my job page never changes — i.e. it always says:

“We currently don’t have any jobs available. Please check back regularly, as we frequently post new jobs. In the mean time, you can also send through your résumé, which we’ll keep on file.

This job listing was created using Job Manager for WordPress, by Gary Pendergast.”

i have it set to myurl.com/jobs.

the link to send your resume (e.g. myurl.com/jobs/apply which seems like the default link) doesn’t exist too — do I have to create it somehow?

in the admin area, when i go to the job listings and click on the job I created (clicking on the “view” link) — the next page says something to the effect that there is no such job.

i have deactivated the plugin for now as in problem (1).

  • 1) I’ve done some testing with having a page as the home, and I’m unable to reproduce this problem. Could you give me some more details? In particular:

    – What theme are you using?
    – What is the name of the page you’re using as the homepage, and does it have a slug set?
    – Do you already have a page with the ‘jobs’ slug?

    2) I’m also unable to reproduce this problem. Could you provide me with exact steps of how you installed the plugin, set it up, and created the jobs?

There’s no need to create the /jobs/apply page – Job Manager does that automatically.

Do you have a test site that I can see this occurring on, and you would allow me to login to? I can be contacted at gary@pento.net.
