  • [jj-ngg-jquery-slider title=”Proba” gallery=”3″ html_id=”about-slider” width=”400″ height=”650″ order= “sortorder” center=”1″ effect=”fade” controlnavthumbs=”true”|”nextgen_original” thumbswidth=”50″ thumbsheight=”50″ thumbscontainerheight=”50″ thumbsgap=”5″]

    This is my calling code, maybe something’s wrong wit it?

    I don’t have any other plugin conflicting, somehow thumbnails show in widget, but not in post.

    Help, please 🙂

    Hey Kteis,

    controlnavthumbs=”true”|”nextgen_original”

    needs to be

    controlnavthumbs=”true”

    or

    controlnavthumbs=”nextgen_original”

    or one of the other options.

    Thanks so much for answering! This the first time I received one in WP forums 🙂
    And this gallery is awesome!

    Can you, please, tell me one more thing, how to remove images overlapping each other in slider? Here is my gallery, so, pls, look and advice me:
    http://kteis.com/1068-2/

    And, yes, one more, is there a way to make pics always appear in center of the gallery, right now they are ‘tied’ to upper border.

    I searched a little, it seems that this slider works with only one size images.

    So, they all need to be adjusted to that size, otherwise there will be constant overlapping and positioning issues.

    Well, that’s how things go, it still looks very nice and if I manage to crop images to fit, I’ll go with this slider.

    Oh, I am ignorant 🙂

    Author has put in FAQ answer to my Q about overlapping images:

    Try adding code below to afterChange callback substitute #test_slider for your html_id:

    function() { jQuery("#test_slider").css("background-image", "none"); }

    Only problem is that I don’t know where to put this code?

    @jjcoder

    Hey Kteis,

    if using shortcode put this is a parameter

    afterchange='function() { jQuery("#slider").css("background-image", "none"); }'

    Its not a very smooth solution, maybe the author of the Nivo slider will add this functionality in the future.

    Regards,

    JJCoder

    Thanks a lot 🙂

    Hello,

    I was wondering if someone could help me out with the thumbnails? Currently, I’m running out of room between my ‘previous’ and ‘next’ buttons. I had assumed that the thumbnails would scroll when their width exceeded the maximum allowed. Is there a way to have them scroll from side to side, or to add that feature via another plugin/shortcode/etc.?

    Please see our site for our jQuery Slider:

    Thanks! 🙂

    redneony,

    I think what what you are trying to accomplish is like:

    http://spaceforaname.com/gallery-light.html

    I would be interested in that also, as well as a “pause/play” option other than hovering.

    I am trying to accomplish that here, using a modified Twenty-Ten theme:

    This is a great plugin!

    For anyone else having issues, I found that in order for the thumbnails to display, you do need to specify a height and width for the slideshow itself.
