[Plugin: JetPack] Tiled Galleries not activable

Dear all,

I am using the most recent version of WP (3.5.1), as a self hosted instance. I am working on my localhost machine, before going live.

I am trying to get the tiled galleries of the default WP gallery function to work. In order to enable the tiled gallery type, I have installed Jetpack (version 2.2.5). I have successfully activated the plugin, and the carousel. However, the function “Tiled galleries” remains greyed out, and hence I assume that it is not activated. In fact, I can’t get a tiled gallery working, using the shortcode [gallery ids="..." type="rectangular"]. Also, the option “Display all your gallery pictures in a cool mosaic” does not show in Settings -> Media.

How can I get this Tiled Galleries activated on my self hosted site?
