Version 1.8.1 of Jetpack installed.
Have installed and configured subscriptions and the initial user setup works (i.e. when someone subscribes they receive and email that they need to confirm). When a new post is added, however, an email is not sent to users who have subscribed to new posts.
We are using BlogDesk to write and publish posts so suspect this is the reason a notification isn’t being sent. Have confirmed that if I login to the dashboard and set a post to draft then set it back to published, emails are sent to subscribers.
Is there some condition that needs to be added to transition_post_status to account for a post being uploaded via a client or does that processing follow a different workflow (apologies as I don’t have a good understanding of how the portions of WordPress interact).
