[Resolved] [Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com] subscriptions not sending email of new posts

  • Version 1.8.1 of Jetpack installed.

    Have installed and configured subscriptions and the initial user setup works (i.e. when someone subscribes they receive and email that they need to confirm). When a new post is added, however, an email is not sent to users who have subscribed to new posts.

    We are using BlogDesk to write and publish posts so suspect this is the reason a notification isn’t being sent. Have confirmed that if I login to the dashboard and set a post to draft then set it back to published, emails are sent to subscribers.

    Is there some condition that needs to be added to transition_post_status to account for a post being uploaded via a client or does that processing follow a different workflow (apologies as I don’t have a good understanding of how the portions of WordPress interact).

  • I have 1.8.2 installed and have a two week outage of emails being sent out also. I am not using Blogdesk but I do schedule all my posts.

    Any help please.

    As a work around I can get the subscribers as a CSV file via Jetpack’s statistics and send a notification manually.

    Is there a fix? It all worked fine until Jetpack was upgraded.

    This is also broken for our site. We do not use Blogdesk.

    I installed JetPack a few weeks ago and subscriptions were working fine for a couple of weeks, now they are not sending out notices.

    This is very disappointing! Please address this issue asap!

    Same for my site as well. Is there a way to downgrade jetpack without losing your subscribers?

    Thank you for reporting this. It should be fixed in the next Jetpack release, you should upgrade as soon as you see it the upgrade prompt.

    Hi, my email followers are not receiving and email when I post a new blog post, seems to be since I upgraded to Jetpack 1.9.2.

    I’ve tested by subscribing myself, I get the confirmation email but no email when i post a test blog.

    Can anyone help?

    Can you please try updating to the latest version of Jetpack? Version 2.0 just came out.

    Hi this is the same to me and I updated to the most recent version already 🙁 It’s been happening for a while now and right now it’s still not sending email to my subscriber when I post something. Please help ..

    Could you contact us via this contact form, and give us a few examples of the email addresses that did not receive any email notifications from your blog?

    I have the same problem. Per one of the suggestions, I upgraded Jetpack to Version 2.1.2. None of my posts are being sent to my subscribers.

    Its happening all over again.
    Whenever I update Jetpack my new posts dont get sent out to my subscribers.
    Very frustrating and Im losing business here.

    I am having the same problem. The subscription widget is working and subscribers are getting the confirmation email and are able to confirm their subscriptions. I can see them in the Stats area as they confirm so all seems to be well on the subscribe side of the equation. However, when I post a blog, none of the email addresses receive notifications of the new post.

    I’ve researched this on other support threads and there seems to be a variety of posts that indicate this issue was resolved in previous Jetpack releases so I am surprised this is showing up again in V 2.1.2.

    Jeremy, thanks for the quick reply. Sorry for this very dumb question but I am new to this whole process and the WordPress world. What email would I send this information to? Do I just reply to the email I received from this blog or is there a specific email I should send the info to?
