[Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com] Statistic from wordpress.com stat not used

Since we are “forced” to use Jetpack and not WordPress.com Stat, why is it that Jetpack don’t collect the statistics from WordPress.com Stat?
Jetpack starts from scratch, is it any way to force it to read old stats?
