[resolved] Social networking enabled comment system. (6 posts)

The main page for Jetpack says that one of the features that it includes is Social networking enabled comment system. We just installed it on a blog and this doesn't seem to be happening. In looking at the jetpack options to be configured from the Dashboard, this does not appear. There is an option for sharing blog content to FB, but not this. I am familiar with the arrangement on WordPress.com where this feature automatically appears when someone attempts to post a comment. Is there something that we need to do to enable it with Jetpack?

Have you gone to the Jetpack menu and clicked Activate on the Jetpack Comments module?

Same issue here. No social networking comment.

I have indeed activated the Jetpack Comments module.

@rickrob: Is your theme using the comment_form() function? Or, if you switch to Twenty Eleven, does the comment feature work?

Having a similar problem with my theme from templatemonster, comments work fine in Twenty Eleven theme however.

Your templatemonster theme doesn't use the comment_form() function; it must have a custom comment form template. You won't be able to use Jetpack Comments if this is the case.
