Jetpack slowing my server to a crawl and it refuses to deactivate (3 posts)

    I made the huge mistake if installing Jetpack last night. It's reduced my server to a crawl and refuses to deactivate despite my constant clicking on the deactivate link from the plug-in list. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess my only choice to delete the actual files, but I'm worried that will cause errors to start on the site because I can't seem to get the subscribe widget to go away either.

    I finally got it to deactivate - the status changed on the page - but then it mysteriously re-activated itself before I could delete the files. This is very frustrating.

    It sounds like there may be an issue with your web host. Can you contact theme for support?

    You may also want to try increasing the PHP memory limit to see if that helps matters:
