I’m using the current version of WP, but an older version of JetPack (1.7). I know I should upgrade it, and I will when I have time to babysit it and make sure nothing breaks.
My “client” in this case is my instructor and sort of friend, who I helped out by making a new site for his business. I handed over the keys, so to speak, recently, and now he’s emailed to let me know that the contact form isn’t emailing him. He did a test, I did a test. The form worked fine for me (when it was set to my address). I checked with him to see if any errors came up or if it acted strangely, but everything looked normal – he did get the conformation page that said it was sent, and yet no email was received.
More detail: my email is a Hotmail address. His is a Yahoo address (he is hosted on Yahoo Small Biz, which I know is a problem sometimes).
I’ve searched here and found a lot of chatter about the contact form but nothing specifically addressing my issue. Do people think it’s as simple as upgrading JetPack? Or has anyone encountered a situation before where sending to one address worked whereas another did not work?
I saw something about configuring SMTP mailing in WordPress, is that a possible fix?
