[resolved] Can I make 'email' not required in the comments form by (3 posts)

I've just installed Jetpack and enabled social commenting, so commenting using WordPress, Twitter or Facebook works. In addition to that, there's the regular name/email/comment feature too, but this has the name and email as required fields. Is there an easy way to make these fields optional?

I approve all comments manually, so I don't have to worry about spam.

On my site, Jetpack Comments respects the setting in Settings -> Discussion marked as "Comment author must fill out name and e-mail." This is what controls whether a user must fill out their name and email in core WordPress.

Hi Tim, however and for example, I don't want my users to leave a "website" in the field that shows on each comment. Is it possible to remove it? How?
