• The 1.0 and 1.0.0a editions of the Engage plugin have fundamentally redesigned the authentication sequence for commenting.

In the 0.9 edition on 2.9.2, everything was perfect. I had cross-authentication to FB, Google, etc. These days however I’m getting local registration emails due to the way the layout and functionality has changed.

Is there any way to force the Engage plugin to take precedence over the standard WordPress login layout?

  • An upcoming release will include the ability to tune the location of the login prompt. There were just as many users unhappy with the old plugin as were happy (I am the one who read the emails). Allowing for customization is the only real answer and this will take time.
The new codebase (1.0.x) will allow for addition of custom layout and other new features over time.
