I just noticed that the description of this plugin now states "Note: This plugin is no longer actively developed nor maintained!". Will anyone be taking over for the author? Or it just plain won't be worked on any longer? I imagine that eventually it's not going to work with updated versions of WordPress. It's going to stink if I have to eventually re-do my downloads section with a new plugin once this one becomes obsolete. :( Wish I knew enough about php to take over work on it.

Hi. Yep, I just noticed the same notice. Seems strange as a great little plugin that (currently at least) works really well!

So how comes it's being dropped? Is there a better plugin now available that you'd recommend users to switch to instead maybe?

    Hmmm :'(

That is really odd. This is a great plugin! Why is the developer stopping the development? I do not understand. I hope there will be a fork then soon.

Ack! I just saw this message as well.

I don't particularly want to use Download Manager. Mike, is there any way the community could convince you to keep this going!

I use this on several sites and it's always worked like a charm but now I'm worried about it not working with future WP updates. @_@
