Plugin is making over 100 backups a day

    I have tried to find a topic covering this, but can’t seem to find one that fits just right. My iThemes security plugin is making over 100 backups a day right now.

    I was trying to update my plugins (in general) and it kept failing. I went to my cpanel and saw that I had maxed out my disk space usage.

    I did some searching and noticed that I had about 1000 (yes 1000!) iThemes backups in a folder called uploads>iThemes security>backups.

    I went to my settings, I have it set as EMAIL ONLY, so I don’t understand why it is saving a backup.

    Just incase I have backups to retain set at 1.

    And although I have – backup every 2 days – it is still backing up over 100 times a day.

    Please help, I know this plugin is helping me secure my site, but my site has been down 3 times this week because of maxed out disk space.
