I tried downgrading to every version from the current to 1.5 but that didn’t work either. Might be an issue wth the site they’re connecting to.

No the the issue doesn’t affect the pro version of this plugin as the pro version of this plugin uses our dedicated smushing server managed by us to smush the images and it doesn’t use the Yahoo smushing server like this WP Smush.it plugin uses.

Hi, I just load the plugin and when i click “smush now” in one of images in media > library it says

http://www.smushit.com/ is the server that the free version uses. When navigating to that server it times out as it is taking too long to respond. That is the cause of the problem…..not the plugin. The premium version at WPMUDEV is working fine and I have it running on a few sites with no worries and smushing like a gud un.
